On Sunday, February 24, 2019, Rotarians painted the Family Promise of Acadiana homeless shelter facility. This was made possible via a Rotary International District 6200 Foundation Grant! Doesn’t the new facelift look great?

Our saga begins in August 2019, when the Centennial Committee of the Rotary Club of Lafayette hatched the idea of creating a project to memorialize the first 100 years of our Club. The Centennial Committee blessed the concept that we should obtain large sugar mill gears (that resembles the Rotary symbol) as the centerpiece of the project. The project would focus on the 4 Way test and the Centennial. President Nanette quickly drafted Rotarian Fabian Patin to spearhead.

We raised over $3,000 at the silent auction held at the Knights of Columbus Hall and enjoyed the fellowship and steaks! Thanks everyone who donated and participated.

The Rotary Club of Lafayette has a designated tent across from Freddy's underneath the largest oak tree for the best shade around Cajun Field for tailgating festivities. Geaux Cajuns!

On Thursday, the 27th of June, Nanette Soileau Heggie was installed as the 100th President of the Rotary Club of Lafayette. The new District Governor, Harold Domingue, was celebrated, and the Rotarian of the Year, Stella C. Theriot, was named.
